Ole`! Flamenco Dancer

Ole!!  6″ x 6″ oil on canvas panel
For sale on ebay starting Sunday, 6 pm PST
The fourth in the Flamenco dancer series. I had fun with this one, especially on the hands…I’m proud of them! lol!
Ole!! 6 x 6 oil on canvas panel (New photo!:))

Again, the quality of the photo really doesn’t do justice to the original at all. There’s glare on it that I couldn’t get rid of in photoshop, and the background is lacking the richness in color that’s really there. You’ll just have to take my word for it! I can’t wait to get my frames for these. I found a great company in Kelowna that makes beautiful plein air frames that will fit these perfect. www.classicgalleryframing.com. Their prices are reasonable, and they ship to my teeny tiny nowhere town.

Silence – Daily Painting – Boat in the Mist

Silence ~ 6″ x 6″ oil on Raymar canvas panel
SOLD
I did this little painting as a study for a larger one, but I like the small one so much, I’ve decided to offer it for sale on Ebay. The few colors and mist creates such a mysterious mood.
Bidding starts at $19.99. If you’re interested, click on my ebay widget link to the right of my blog post. It will be active from March 20 – 27th.

…and even more ACEO’s

Hello everyone…sorry about the lack of sketches, if anyone noticed…but I’m trying to make a few bucks to pay for the deluxe printer I just bought, lol!  And I need special paper, too, and Crystal Clear Bags…
Uhhh…the business of art. I’d rather just paint, and let someone else do all the other work, but I’ve made a new years resolution to get serious this year, and treat it as a job instead of a hobby…see where that gets me.
These cuties go active on Ebay at about 6 pm PST,
Cheers, all!

Watching Go Diego Go

Just a little something from this morning:) My daughter stays home from pre-school on Mondays, and she loves Dora and Diego…an opportunity to get her to sit still. and I love this pose…especially the feet:)
I decided to overcome my fear of drawing in ink, and grabbed a ballpoint for this one. ( A blotchy ballpoint at that!)  Consequently, neither image looks anything like her. She was quite unhappy with her face in the first one (she loves to pose, but she’s quite the critic) so i tried another…it doesn’t look much like her either…she wrinkled her nose at it, and didn’t say a word. Attitude! LOL!!  It does look a lot like me, though…I guess a few little glitches shows up the family resemblance.
I almost have another travel sketch ready, and I’m posting a bunch of ACEO’s that I’ve been really busy with the last few days, too. They’ll be active on ebay tonight…
Cheers, all!

More Itty Bitty Kitties

Snuggle Bugs Aceo SOLD

I’m so happy, my long awaited package of art supplies  arrived today! Yay! Thank you so much, super-hubby. I was going crazy. For those of you that don’t already know, I am stranded in my old hometown, at my mom and dad’s, in my old room, nonetheless…because the town where I now reside with my wonderful DH and my sweetheart monsters, has totally flooded. Like disastrous, devastatingly flooded! Many people’s homes are beyond repair, and it’s a bloody nightmare. Thank God our home was safe. But anyways, I have this huge commission, and no paint and no brushes…and my last batch of SOLD ebay ACEO’s were also stranded…in Bella Coola, with the buyer impatiently waiting for their purchase.  For the longest time we had no mail going out or coming in because the road and the airport were closed. At least now the air traffic is moving, so we can get mail and send it…so dear buyer, if you’re reading (I hope you don’t mind me showing off your card) and, your package will now arrive soon.

The Chairman

                                   “The Chairman” 2.5″x3.5″ ACEO

Chairman Meow is a lovely cat that belongs to my friend and employer, Holly, of Coast Mountain Lodge in Bella Coola. He is sweet and affectionate…more like a big friendly dog than a cat, and he’s also a manx…ya, just a little stump of a tail…anyways, he’s a sweetie, and I had to paint him.
I’ve actually been on a bit of an ACEO painting binge this week, so check out my listings by clicking on the scrolling gallery to your right.
Unfortunately the horses and driver in my previous posting met an unfortunate demise…beware of painting when you’re not in the mood, is my advice to all of you artists out there that might have a bit of a temper, lol! Yes, I have to start over, or patch the hole in my canvas….

The Irish Busker painting a day daily painting for ebay

“The Irish Busker” 8″x10″ oil on canvas

I came across this delightfully eccentric looking Irish busker in Galway, Ireland in September. I just had to take a picture. I finished painting him in one sitting while attending my table at the above mentioned Arts and Crafts Fair.
Oh yeah, bye the way…I went to Europe…for a month…ahem:) I forgot to mention it. I guess I was worried if I started to write about that trip, I wouldn’t be able to stop. I saw sooooo much! The Uffizzi, the “real” David, by Michelangelo…I climbed the Leaning Tower of Pisa, I went for a Gondola ride in Venice, I saw Newgrange in Ireland, and Stonehenge in England…so much! If you want to see some Europe photos feel welcome to check out my Facebook album at: my facebook page.
Anyways, this painting is now for sale on ebay at a very special reduced starting bid, just for you christmas shoppers:) If you want to bid click on my ebay link in the scrolling gallery when the pic comes up. (My hubby is selling a whole bunch of music equipment too, if you’re interested.) Happy Bidding!

Hey Horsey!

I was absolutely horse CRAZY as a kid! I drew horse after horse after horse, I talked about horses, dreamed about horses, and finally, when I was twelve, my parents got me my very own horse. But, I think I must have got sick of drawing horses, because this is the first horse I have painted in about 15 years! I made it look just like mine, Miss Peeti Poco. I miss her. She died when I was 27, and coincidentally, she was 27. Our birthdays were only a week apart. I really enjoyed painting this little thing. I may have to give horses another go! This is another ACEO for ebay. The detail is difficult, though, so it’s quite hard to make it look polished, and the picture doesn’t do it justice. 2.5″ x 3.5″ is so small!
Well, I have a portrait commission that I have to start work on tomorrow, as well as an assignment almost due for my writing course, so I don’t know when I’ll next be able to post. Maybe if the weather is good enough for pictures, I’ll post some in progress ones of the commission. So, ciao for now.

Here’s my new painting for tonight. When I scattered the blueberries on the table, they looked like they were following the plum…it reminded me of the Pied Piper…LOL! This one’s for sale on Ebay, you can click on the link below and it will take you straight to my auctions.
Gotta go work on my painting for tomorrow’s post before I fall down from exhaustion.
Goodnight all.

Here’s the next in my tomato trilogy.
I have no words of wisdom tonight. My bed is calling me.
Ciao.
